Dr. Daniel Künzler

Daniel Künzler is lecturer at the Department of Social Work, Social Policy and Global Development of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He is doing research on the dynamics and politics of social policies in a number of sub-Saharan African countries. He is currently working on questions of citizenship and social policies in Kenya, a country about which he has written several articles and book chapters. His work on the Central African region has recently been published in Global Social Policy, Global Political Economy and Ревија за социјална политика [Journal of Social Policy]. Together with Monica Budowski, he has edited and introduced special issues of socialpolicy.ch on social sustainability and on universalism. Daniel hopes to have some day enough time to finish his research on the social policies of leftist governments in sub-Saharan Africa.
